Bradford is now 3 years old. Happy Birthday Buddy.
Here are some things I love about Bradford.
1) his gravely deep voice.
2)The way he starts breathing really loud when he is about to fall asleep
3) How he says I love you when I whisper, "Guess what?" in his ear.
4) he likes me to hold him
5) his contagious laugh
6) he will try any kind of food I put in front of him and often says,"I like it," after the first bite.
7) his big cheeks
8) his super soft ears
9) he was so easy to potty train
10) he is so tough
Happy Birthday Angel Boy!

Finally Ammon loses his first tooth

Ammon has had a loose tooth for over a month and finally he got it out, but only because I started freaking out that we were going to have to take him to the dentist because his other tooth started growing in behind it. He has two other loose teeth so hopefully they won't take as long. Here is his big smile. He started singing, "All I want for Christmas is my bottom tooth" after he got it out. So cute!!

Pay it forward

Pay it FORWARD--
How it works:
The FIRST THREE people to leave a comment on this post will receive at some point during this year a handmade gift from me.What it will be and when it will arrive will be a total surprise--to both of us.The CATCH is that YOU MUST PLAY TOO! Before you leave your comment here, write a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going (you can cut and paste these instructions). Then come back and let me know that you are going to play, and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift.
It's THAT easy!Remember, only the FIRST THREE comments will qualify.
Good luck!

Ivan's Big Week

Most people have never noticed that Ivan has a little ear. When he was a baby we used to pull on it to try and get it to stay out but it always popped back under the skin. We decided to let him choose when he was old enough if he wanted to get surgery on it so it would stay out, it's not a big deal but he can't wear glasses without them slipping down on one side. So he decided he wanted surgery and he informed me he really didn't care about his ear he just wanted to be able to say he had surgery, "Yeah, beat that, huh" Really that's what he said!! So here is his before picture at the hospital Thursday. I'm going to miss that sweet little ear.
Here he is after, He has to wear that thing on his head for a week. The doctor said the surgery went excellent and that the cartilage was just crimped inside his ear so they straightened it all out. He is so resilient and bouncing all over the place which he isn't supposed to be doing, but how do you keep a 9 year old boy from, well, being a nine year old boy. Another great thing is it is covered by insurance which we didn't expect at all but feel it is one of the many blessings poured out of the windows of heaven if you know what I mean. I'll post another picture of the final result when he gets the stitches out.
Ivan also won the Pinewood derby for the District. This picture is one of his races Saturday. He won every race he was in and I think there were about 6 or 7. There were 88 cars and he won by a car length even on the final race. His truck was the "Blue Blur"
Ian was so proud, imagine that!

Ivan's Cake

Ivan had the Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts last night and had to make a cake for a contest they were having. We discussed it and he came up with the idea to put his face Uncle Sam. We made the cake together and he decorated it. He won most creative which was actually great because there were only 4 prizes but about 12 cakes. Thank you to Aunt Lindsay for her photoshop work and Brother Meraz for the printing of the picture on edible paper. It tasted good too, great job Ivan!

I'm so glad when daddy comes home...

Ian was gone for a week in New Orleans. We were so glad to have him home again especially with all the Mardigras stuff he got from the parades. I never knew they had a parade where they threw out hats, and the beads, wow, sooooo many beads. He had a great time! I've been so totally jealous and wish I would have gone. But well, I didn't, and that's that.
